The Any Hour Difference: What to Watch Out For With Other HVAC Service Providers

Why you can hire Any Hour Services with confidence

When you need new equipment or service for your home heating and air conditioning system, you want to believe that the company you call will treat your fairly, show up when they say they will, and provide excellent products and services. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Any heating and cooling company you find in the yellow pages can make claims of excellence, but how do you really know if they are what they say they are? Here are five things to watch out for with other HVAC service providers, along with a side-by-side comparison to Any Hour Services: there really is a difference.

1. They do not offer same-day, or even same-week service. If your furnace isn't working in the middle of winter, your family simply cannot afford to wait until a technician is "free" to help. You need a technician to come to your home as soon as possible. If they do offer same-day service, they often will not honor their scheduled time or may not show up altogether.

Any Hour Services always offers same-day service 24/6. If you have an emergency, we will be there for you. Our state of the art scheduling software and constant contact with our technicians by radio dispatch mean that you will never "fall through the cracks" or be delayed by another day. Our technicians will call you 30-40 minutes ahead of your scheduled appointment to confirm, and every service vehicle is equipped with a GPS system.

2. They can offer no proof regarding the quality or training of their technicians. When the person or company you hire cannot give you proof of their technicians' training and qualifications: that is a serious red flag. You don't want to have to pay twice to get a job done: once for the shoddy technician, then once again to have the shoddy work repaired the right way. If the company is evasive about their technicians' training, look elsewhere.

Any Hour Services will only send the most experienced, best-trained professionals to your home. Not only are they expert technicians, but they will also come to your door with a clean and pressed uniform, shined shoes, and I.D badge with their photograph and license verification number. Each of our techs has had a thorough background check and undergoes regular drug testing. Our technicians are often called upon to repair the poor work performed by prior technicians: get it right the first time by trusting the qualified technicians at Any Hour Services.

3. They are not licensed, bonded, and insured. If the company you are considering is not licensed by the State of Utah, and if it cannot produce proof of being bonded and insured, go elsewhere. Too many "drive-by" heating and cooling companies will enter your home, start to install a furnace or air conditioner, and then leave the job unfinished or done poorly. If one of their employees is injured in your home and the company does not carry insurance, the liability is held by the homeowner! For your own protection, always ask the company if it is licensed, bonded, and insured.

Any Hour Services is not only licensed, bonded, and insured, it is also an award-winning company and a member in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.

4. They charge by the hour for their services. When a company charges by the hour, you never know upfront what your exact costs will be, and you leave yourself vulnerable to "time-padding." The company may send out a technician-in-training who is slower and will take 2 hours to do what an expert could accomplish in 1 hour. The technician may be "on the clock" for you from the time they left their last job to the time they are finished with yours.

We believe that you have a right to know what our services will cost you upfront and in writing. We charge by the job, and never by the hour. If additional work is needed or requested, we will again quote you a set price for the additional work for your approval before we begin. We have a No Surprise Pricing policy, and we mean it!

5. They do not have a written maintenance agreement for ongoing services. Too many HVAC companies simply don't back up their work once the sale is made. Customers are left with faulty equipment that doesn't work, poor repair jobs, or other issues: and the company they used is out of business, won't return their phone calls, or refuses to honor warranties altogether.

At Any Hour Services, we honor our warranties, and we lead the way when it comes to providing written maintenance agreements and client protection plans. You can count on us to be there for you and back up our products and services over the long term. We have a commitment to excellence that is unsurpassed in our industry, and a strict code of ethics that is at the heart of everything we do.
